With an affection for Sustainable Island Cuisine, The Feeding Leaf is committed to sourcing and using as many local products in our recipes.
Jill Andrade Mattos of RJ Ranch who also manages Hawaii Beef Producers, has been a strong supporter of our efforts to promote local grass fed beef. Chef Scott prepared a Kim Chee Beef Poke for Jill who served it at the Hawaii Food and Wine Festival's Pa`ina on the Pier event.
Zac Hosler, is not just a working partner, but a good friend to the Feeding Leaf. Zac and Chef Scott have a friendship that goes beyond the walls of the kitchen and the troughs of the Aquaponics Farm. Zac will literally grow almost anything at his farm, and is currently growing watercress for an event that Chef Scott will cook at in November on O`ahu. Zac provides the freshest produce that we can get our hands on, and we have included his produce in all of our catering menus.
